Under the FIRE SAFETY ORDER 2005 there is a legal responsibility for all businesses with 5 or more employees to have a compliant BS5839-1:2017 fire alarm system. These systems of life, building and key asset protection are required to be properly maintained on a regular basis (every 6 months) by a suitably qualified engineer, and recording all events.
